Dr. Kevin Brown was born in Illinois but lived in the south and midwest prior to attending Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. He then graduated the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He then completed a five-year dual residency in internal medicine and emergency medicine at Midwestern University. His training primarily took place in the Chicago area at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital, Cook County Hospital, Loyola University Hospital, Rush/St. Luke/ Presbyterian Hospital, and Michael Reese Hospital to name a few.  In 2001 he moved to Reno to begin his career and raise his family. He has maintained board certification in both internal medicine and emergency medicine and has clinical experience in both the academic and private practice settings. Outside of his practice he enjoys all of the wonderful outdoor attractions that the Reno/Tahoe area has to offer. He is married with two children, attends Sunday services at South Reno Baptist Church, and has organized multiple medical mission trips to Cambodia.

Dr. Mary “Troy” Ferguson was born and raised in Reno Nevada. After graduating from McQueen High School, she studied Spanish at the Catholic University in Quito, Ecuador and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno. She completed medical school at the Mayo Clinic where she met her wonderful husband, Steve Althoff. She specialized in Emergency Medicine with her residency training at University of California, Davis. She has worked in Reno as an Emergency Physician for the last 13 years and as an Associate Professor of Medicine teaching residents at the University of Nevada, Reno. When she is not working, Dr. Ferguson enjoys raising her daughter, Sydney and son's John and Adam. She enjoys biking, swimming, skiing, sewing and family time at Lake Tahoe. She attends Holy Cross Church.

Erika Stack, PA-C. Erika holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Prior to her graduate studies, Erika earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University.

Although Erika grew up in the heart of Texas and explored and worked in various parts of the country, she has embraced the beauty and charm of Reno, Nevada, and now proudly calls it home. Erika’s journey in healthcare has taken her to various corners of the United States, where she has lived and worked in diverse healthcare environments. From busy urban centers to rural communities, Erika has gained valuable experiences and insights that enrich her ability to connect with patients from all walks of life.
Patient education and empowerment are central to Erika’s practice. She is devoted to equipping patients with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their health, fostering a collaborative approach to healthcare. The patient is always at the forefront, and Erika wholeheartedly embraces this philosophy. Believing in the importance of active listening, empathy, and open communication, Erika ensures that patient concerns and preferences are valued and integrated into their plan of care.
Outside the practice, Erika enjoys traveling with her husband and two children.  She is an avid runner and triathlete and also has fun gardening and experimenting with cooking.
